Born in Memphis, TN; grew up in Yazoo City, MS. Married to Sylvia (Sissy). Children: Matt and Amy Ervin, Mark and Lauren Ervin. One grandson: Cadmon. Two granddogs: Molly & Bob. Graduate of Mississippi State University (BS in Industrial Engineering); also completed numerous business-related courses while working at Entergy. Took early retirement to learn about new churches and help them grow on a solid footing.
