Involvement
At LifeBridge we place a lot of emphasis on our environments, which are the places where people have the opportunity to connect with God and other people. As a partner at LifeBridge you will be called upon to help create, serve in, and expand our ministry environments.
Authentic Community and Focused Ministry are are two of our Core Values. Therefore, we expect that all partners will be involved in a small group (where authentic community can be developed) and serve in a ministry that fits their individual makeup (where focused ministry happens). Your involvement in both of these areas will not only enhance your life, but will strengthen God’s church at LifeBridge and will help to advance His kingdom!
If you are new to LifeBridge and have not connected with a Life Group or a Ministry team we want to help facilitate your involvement right now. Simply click on the links below. We will get some information from you and then someone will contact you about getting involved in either a Life Group or a Ministry team. After your brief detour to these sites come back and we will walk you through the partnership application!

Mission
Our mission is to connect people with God and others so they can experience life at its very best. We do this by creating environments where people can discover the difference God makes when He's directing our lives and the value people make when they come alongside us in this journey called life.
We are committed to creating life changing environments in which God's Spirit can work in the hearts of people to touch and transform their lives. We focus primarily on three life changing environments:
Celebration
This environment is designed to help people encounter the living God. It is primarily created through our Sunday morning worship service.
Community
This environment is designed to help people feel like family. It is primarily created through our Life Groups and other small groups.
Contribution
This environment is designed to equip people to move outside themselves as they seek their full potential in Christ. It is primarily created through our Ministry Teams.

Design
Many people have asked how we came up with the name "LifeBridge." Basically we wanted to be a bridge to life--the life that God offers through faith in Jesus Christ. We call this "life at its very best" (which is our translation of what the Bible calls the "abundant life").
As we thought about being a bridge, we began to think, "What is essential in building a bridge?" We realized that it has four essentials: the right design, a proper foundation, dependable building materials, and people to travel on it.
We considered the essentials for a bridge when we thought about what was essential for a church. And we came up with the same elements! So here’s what we think are the essential elements at LifeBridge:
One element that's essential is a Supreme Design – We believe God designed every person with a purpose and made it possible for every person to know and fulfill that purpose. Thus we exist to help people know God and find their ultimate fulfillment in life, which only happens as they become fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
-
Foundation
Another element that's essential is a Solid Foundation – We believe God speaks primarily through His Word, the Bible. Thus it is our foundation, our ultimate authority for knowing and fulfilling God's purpose as a church. That's why we encourage you to read the Bible and provide help each week (through the "Respond to God" daily devotional emails) to help you listen to God.
-
Integrity
Another element that's essential is Structural Integrity – We believe the values of our church shape what, and who, we are. Thus we have core values that define us:
Authority | The Bible is essential for us. We believe the entire Bible is God's inspired Word, thus it is the guide for what we do as a church.
Community | People are important to us. We believe we must offer a loving place where all people are welcomed to discover and to experience the genuine life Christ offers them.
Creativity | Being unpredictable is a necessity for us. We believe we must creatively engage our changing culture with the dynamic yet unchanging truth of the Bible.
Maturity | Spiritual growth is crucial for us. We believe Christianity is a lifelong pursuit of becoming more like Christ and that no one ever "arrives" as a Christian. Maturity involves not only learning what God says but also doing it--being obedient to biblical teaching.
Simplicity | Keeping things simple is vital to us. We believe that simplicity—in everything from our organizational structure to our messages—makes us more effective in what we do as a church.
-
Travelers
Another element that's essential is Strategic Travelers – We believe all people matter to God, thus we are committed to joining God in sharing His love with our words and our actions to people in our community, state, nation, and world. This means looking outside ourselves and not getting comfortable in our own groups or even in this church.
We do this in a variety of ways, but we focus on three areas:
Invest and Invite - This is our connection strategy where we seek to invest in the lives of people and invite them to God's church at LifeBridge (and ultimately to a relationship with God through Jesus Christ).
Bridge events - These are non-threatening opportunities to gather with people (such as at a cookout, a crawfish boil, a ladies' gathering, or a picnic) and develop relationships with them.
Mission projects - These are local and long-distance opportunities for us to work with other Christians and other churches to share God's love through our words and actions.
-
Membership
At LifeBridge we don't have members! Why not? Basically, it's related to mindset. With "membership" we assume we have privileges. (Remember the old American Express commercials?) But that idea about church is not found in the Bible. So at LifeBridge you'll hear us talk about "partnership." As a partner, we don't gain rights, we lose them. That's the picture of a servant, which is how the Bible describes those who choose to follow Christ (Christians). As servants, our time, resources, and creativity belong to Christ.
When you become a partner at LifeBridge you join with others in creating, leading, and funding a church that does what God desires: connects people with Him and others so they can experience life at its very best. This isn't easy or inexpensive. But with your help we can continue to impact our community and our world through our unique approach to ministry.

Application
Our partnership application will ask for information about the following three prerequisites that are essential in your role as a partner.
1. Since one element of our mission is to connect people with God, it is essential that our partners have a relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. We will briefly ask you to tell us about your relationship. If you'd like a simple explanation of what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ, please click here.
2. We believe that the Bible is clear about God's desire for each of us to make a public profession of faith through baptism. If you haven't been baptized since accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, just mark "no" when asked on the partnership form and we will contact you. You may click here for more information on baptism.
3. We equate partnership with involvement--giving, serving, and relating to others. We will ask about your involvement on the following page.
If you would like to complete the partnership form before you have completed the above, please continue to the form. We will contact you to assist with baptism or getting connected in a small group or a ministry team. We want to make this experience as easy as possible for you. But if any section is unclear or if you have questions, please email us at staff@mylifebridge.com.
